WINDCREST, TEXAS (Nov. 6, 2015) – For the first time in history, the Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) men's cross-country team has captured the Red River Athletic Conference (RRAC) Men's Cross-Country Championships.

The meet took place this morning and was sponsored by Drury Inn, the Windcrest Golf Club and the City of Windcrest.

Head Coach Stephen Sherman said, "Sometimes words are pretty inadequate in expressing how exactly one feels about something and our performance today is that kind of moment for me. Us winning a double championship is something that our men, women, Coach Smith, and I have been working toward for the past 364 days. We were all left with a sour taste from last year's conference meet and no one wanted that again. I am extremely proud of the way our men handled their business today. To win on our terms and on our course is something that the whole OLLU community can be proud of. We'll celebrate the win for the next day or two and then we'll turn our focus to goal number two, which is to make some noise at the NAIA meet in Charlotte in two weeks."
