SAN ANTONIO (Oct. 2, 2021) – The Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) men's cross-country team participated in the UIW Invitational this morning at Olmos Park. The Saints (202 points) placed sixth behind NCAA D1 schools University of the Incarnate Word (38 points), Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi (50 points), the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (77 points) and Abilene Christian University (81 points) and NCAA D3 Trinity University (151 points). Following OLLU were Texas Southern University (208 points), the University of St. Thomas (209 points), the University of Texas at Dallas (229 points), Southwestern University (301) and Schreiner University (343 points).

Head Coach Patrick Torres said, "The men showed their depth today in a way we never have before. Our 1-5 average is by far our best of the season so far, and what's especially exciting is we made correctable mistakes that we can capitalize on next race. I know our guys up front weren't thrilled but they'll come back even better next week."
