[Women's Cross Country] OLLU's Nadia Sifuentes breaks school record in 5K at UIW Cross-Country ...

SAN ANTONIO (Oct. 2, 2021) – The Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) women's cross-country team placed seventh out of 11 teams at the UIW Invitational this morning at Olmos Park. The Saints (199 points) followed NCAA D1 schools Abilene Christian University (19 points), Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi (37 points) and the University of the Incarnate Word (78 points), NCAA D3 Trinity University (112 points), NCAA D1 University of Texas at Rio Grande Valley (133 points) and NAIA Texas Wesleyan University (190 points). Following OLLU were Southeastern Oklahoma University (200 points), the University of St. Thomas (213 points), the University of Texas at Dallas (286 points) and Schreiner University (307 points).

Head Coach Patrick Torres commented, "Today was a breakthrough race for our women's team. We came in confident, and everyone raced their best race of the season so far. We're only getting better from here. Nadia Sifuentes breaking the school record was the ribbon on top, but we had some performances that were huge from everyone."
